What is the Nissan Maintenance Care Program?

Nissan Maintenance Care is a prepaid maintenance plan aimed at providing oil change coverage and convenience to new Nissan owners.

What coverage is included in the Nissan Maintenance Care program?

Nissan Maintenance Care provides up to 3 oil changes within two years or 24,000 miles (whichever occurs first) on the purchase or lease of a new Model Year '25 gas-powered Nissan vehicle.

What models will be included under the Nissan Maintenance Care program?

New Nissan Model Year '25 gas-powered vehicles are covered as they start sales. EVs are excluded and will continue to be covered under the EV Carefree+ maintenance plan.

Are existing Nissan customers covered with the Nissan Maintenance Care Program?

Only customers that purchase or lease a new Model Year '25 gas-powered Nissan will be covered by Nissan Maintenance Care.

What is the purpose of this plan?

Nissan Maintenance Care is intended to drive service retention, brand consideration, and dealer profit.

What are the oil requirements for prepaid maintenance?

Full Synthetic Genuine Nissan Motor Oil purchased on the Nissan oil program is required.

Will Nissan Maintenance Care automatically be applied to each sale?

A NESNA maintenance contract will be created by NESNA once the RDR sale is confirmed. Dealers will not need to create a contract, unless there is an upsell.

Can the Dealer charge for this plan?

No, Nissan Maintenance Care is included in the vehicle sale and must remain included.

Can the Dealer upsell and apply add-ons?

Yes, Dealers will have the full suite of NESNA pre-paid maintenance products to offer upsell opportunities at a discounted rate.

Can the Dealer offer their own prepaid maintenance plan?

While every new Model Year '25 gas-powered Nissan vehicle purchase/lease must receive Nissan Maintenance Care, Dealers are able to utilize their internal or 3rd party Prepaid Maintenance Plans as add-ons or upsells.

When a customer comes in for their oil change, how will the Service Department know they are covered?

The Service Advisors will follow the same process that they are used to. When the VIN is entered, a prepaid maintenance contract will be displayed alongside the available services.

How is Nissan Maintenance Care being paid for?

The cost of Nissan Maintenance Care is included as standard equipment. For Model Year '25 gas-powered Nissan vehicles, it is part of MSRP.

Will there be an NCAR integration?

Yes, please ensure sales to service handoff by leveraging NCAR to schedule first service appointment.

How will Nissan Maintenance Care be promoted to customers that are not utilizing their plan?

Service Marketing will replicate the existing prepaid maintenance customer journey and logic for Dealers enrolled in Service Drive (6, 8 and 10 Months No Service And About to Expire).

How can a Dealer advertise the program? Are there any parameters?

Assets will be available on Nissan Artwork in mid-August. Dealers must consult with their own legal counsel for all advertising for this program.
